Campus Biotech, Flux Laboratory and the Embassy of Foreign Artists (EOFA) will launch in April the  Open Call for an artist-in-residency programme at Campus Biotech in 2021.

The aim of the project is to offer residencies to professional artists working across various fields whose projects are related to the cutting-edge research carried out at Campus Biotech. If you are interested in welcoming an artist in 2021 to develop an interdisciplinary project, please let us know by March 15. This information would allow us to tailor the Open Call to your specific field of research.

The artistic residency duration will be fixed on a case-by-case basis with the artist and the Campus Biotech laboratory-institution involved. Flux Laboratory and the Embassy of Foreign Artists (EOFA) will provide the artists with a grant as well as accommodation, and will cover production costs up to a predefined amount.

By welcoming an artist in your lab/institution, you will take part in an arts and science inter- and transdisciplinary dialogue, thereby broadening your perspectives as well as your network, while developing a project which could represent a valuable communication tool linked to your scientific research (knowledge transfer activities).

It is important for us that you are involved in the selection process of the artist, thus allowing to find the convergence between an artist’s work and your own. Once selected, the residency implies on your part that you host the artist, opening your labs and your schedules to allow some time to discuss, exchange and communicate on the project.
