Valentina Borghesani is a new Assistant Professor at the University of Geneva within the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) “Evolving Language”.  Valentina started the Neurobiology of Concepts Expression Laboratory (NoCE Lab, https://noce-lab.github.io), which focuses on studying the cognitive and neural correlates of semantic knowledge and their interplay with language, using both behavioral and neuroimaging techniques. She obtained her Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience from Sorbonne University in Paris and conducted her postdoctoral research in clinical and computational neuroscience respectively at the University of California San Francisco and Université de Montreal. Valentina is passionate about and active in bridging neuroscience and ethics, community, diversity, environment, and the arts.
